Kimono

The kimono is the traditional clothing of Japan. The cut, color, fabric, and decorations of a kimono may vary according to the sex, age, and marital status of the wearer, the season of the year, and the occasion for which the kimono is worn. Men and martial arts practitioners of both genders usually wear a conservatively styled kimono of blue, black, brown, gray, or white.

Hakama-shita

The hakama-shita is a shorter version of a kimono for wearing with the hakama, the skirt-like pants worn by samurai. The hakama-shita also features a split hem in back to make it easier to move or walk.
